Engagement Photographer Northern Ireland | Bethany & Gareth
Last weekend Bethany and Gareth celebrated their recent engagement with a photo session in Greencastle County Down with lil’ old me! I’ve been so excited to share this shoot because it’s full of the most beautiful light you ever did see and I bloody loved this couple and location so much!
This area is special to the couple as Bethany has been coming here with her family for years and Gareth had proposed not too far from here just a few weeks before so it seemed like the perfect choice when discussing locations for their photo session.
Greencastle Royal Castle ruins are accessible from the main road up a short, flat path before climbing a set of winding steps to reach the castle. The castle itself was closed so unfortunately we weren’t able to take in any of the views from the top but we were more than happy to get up close and use the beautiful old stone walls as a backdrop. The colour of the walls was so pretty in the evening sun and being there late in the evening meant we had the place to ourselves!
From here we walked a short distance down to the small beach beside the pier. With pale blue evening light over the still water, the harbour dotted with boats and the Cooley Mountains in the distance it really was so beautiful!
Bethany and Gareth are such a lovely couple, the kind you could talk to for hours and it was so cool to spend time with them both.
But enough of my chat, go and have a look at why I loved this shoot so much!
